“No New York City conversation is complete without Supreme” said Mr. Kim Jones, Creative Director for Louis Vuitton when interviewed in a recent discussion on NYC and Fashion culture. A true indicator of the growth of Supreme over recent times with the brands previously only being connected via a cease and desist handed to Supreme from LV in the 2000’s for their controversial Monogram deck, box logo tee and cap. Knowing this, when word first spread about the upcoming collaboration the community was slightly skeptical, however with Kim Jones long-time exposure to Supreme having worked at renowned UK spot ‘The Hideout” in his youth it’s beginning to make more sense.
2017 is now upon us and at last nights LV show at Paris Fashion Week the two unveiled a massive collection featuring dozens of items including; Baseball bats, trunk, wallets, bags, leather goods, apparel, gloves, decks, sunglasses and more.
The collection will NOT be releasing online or in store at Supreme (however it is rumoured that the Box Logo tee will be Supreme exclusive) however at LV locations with the possibility of pop-up stores from July 17th.
Not alot is confirmed on pricing at the time of writing but it is known that the collection will carry Louis Vuitton pricing.
We’ll have more news as it drops.
