The Air Jordan 1 is the pinnacle of sneaker collecting for many and can be credited for helping the uprise of sneakers into the mainstream back in 1984.
Last year we saw a string of highly demanded retro AJ1 releases including the Bred 1, this year Jordan Brand shows some love to the iconic Royal Jordan I which saw it’s last retro in 2013. After a logistical anomaly saw many of the 2013 release pairs making their way to Australia it was rumoured that Australian shelves held more pairs then the USA for the whole release. There was literally so many pairs here that they sat on shelves for up to a week at some spots.
Fast forward to 2017 and the Royal will receive a small change up; taking a page from the other recent releases, this years retro will swap out the smooth leather for a tumbled, more textural leather.
Expect these through NDC and Foot Locker this April
