‘Casa Air Max’ -The House of Air Max has just taken Sao Paulo (Brazil) by storm. It’s no secret that Air Max Day is upon us and all over the world Nike is hosting different events to celebrate the iconic Air Max sole unit. This week we saw Sydney receive the Air treatment but we couldn’t go past the festivities happening right now in Brazil. Locals of the beautiful city of Sao Paulo have been immersed since March 11 in everything the Air Max culture has to offer. Found on Paulista Avenue, one of the cities most popular streets spanning 2.8km’s the Casa Air Max will  be the end point for many runs of different lengths and conditions hosted by professional runners to suit all fitness levels around the city.

Since opening earlier this month Casa Air Max has hosted a grip of different local and international entertainers and sports stars as the public “experiences everything Nike believes”. “It will be an opportunity to redefine, revolutionise and express the young culture in a collaborative, fearless and innovative way.” says Tim Stuijfzand, Senior Director of Marketing of Nike Brazil and there certainly is no denying the depth of the event with each room dedicated to a different leg of the AM culture.

The Atmos room – dedicated to sneaker refreshment, with in house cleaning and customisation including one of Brazil’s best typographers Raphael Sanches

Rebels on Air room – Create music, spin decks and see what it’s like to be a DJ

The Masters of Air room – See OG models owned by some of Brazil’s biggest collectors

Just some of the activities for patrons of the free event, throw in running workshops with the Nike Training Club and you’ve got yourself some very happy Brazilian sneakerheads. The event will run through March and come to a close on Air Max Day.
