Deadstock: Exhibition Hits Melbourne February 3rd

Whether your heart belongs to art and illustration or sneakers and streetwear, Deadstock is an upcoming exhibition that plans to highlight and celebrate both cultures. Three artists, Kyle Adams, Kodjowild and Liamme Cardinal will be displaying their work for one week only at the No Vacancy gallery. Though stylistically they differ, the artists’ shared love of sneakers is the foundation of the Deadstock exhibition, which will showcase their own interpretations of the youth’s favourite crep silhouettes and designs. OG Nike and retro heads will rejoice as the artists have previewed their Foamposite One, Air Max 95 and Spiridon artworks – all available as prints to order. In addition to the Nike nostalgia, PUMA’s influence on sneaker innovation is praised in an illustration of the iconic Disc Blaze. The artists have collaborated with PUMA Australia on a limited edition tote-bag available only at the launch party.

Melbourne’s sneaker community backbone PUMA Australia will be helping host the Deadstock exhibition launch party with music by DJ SAL and drinks by Gage Roads Brewing Co.

Deadstock launch party is happening Friday 3rd February 6pm-9pm at No Vacancy Gallery, The Atrium, Federation Square. The Deadstock exhibition will run from the 31st of January – 5th of February 11am til 5pm, check your local guides for more information.
