TDE’s Ab-Soul To Release New Album December 9th

December 9th is shaping up to be an important date for hip hop this year. Following the announcements that J. Cole and Yasiin Bey AKA Mos Def will both releasing their album on the same day we’ve now found out that Ab-Soul will be joining them for this special occasion.

The TDE rapper found mixed success with his last album These Days, especially when you compare it to his acclaimed and iconic debut Control System. The Black Lip Bastard dropped “Huey Knew” a month or so ago, a track off his upcoming album that seemingly marked the return of the sort of ominous, word play fused songs that we heard on his debut record.

His new project is called DWTW and it is unclear at this point wether thats the title or if it’s an acronym for the actual title. On Nov. 22 he realised the visuals for his track “Braille feat. Bas” (watch below), a reference to his impaired vision which is caused by a rare condition called Steven-Johnson Syndrome. Upon announcing yesterday that his new album was on the way he also shared a new track called “Threatened Nature”.
