Tupac Shakur Nominated For Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Spot

A band or artist is eligible to be nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their debut album. Pac’s 2Pacalypse Now dropped in November of 1991, 4 years before his first No. 1 album, Me Against The World.

That means that legendary West Coast rapper 2pac has been picked up in his first year of eligibility. Winners will be announced in December with inductions taking place in April. He will become a part of the great Hall of Fame if he is voted into the top five of this year’s ballot, which also include acts like Journey, Yes, Pearl Jam, Bad Brains and Janet Jackson.

Earlier this year Kendrick Lamar ushered in N.W.A. as they were introduced into the Hall of Fame to be seated alongside the like of hip hop acts such as Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and Run-DMC.
